A lot of people ask us, who’s Ken? The short answer is, no one!
The “Ken” in KenMed is an acronym standing for Kevin, Evan, and Nayte.
Kevin Cole (the K in KenMed) was Nayte Carrick’s stepdad and a successful business owner himself. He was the initial investor in KenMed Surgical and provided a wealth of business knowledge, experience, but most importantly support to Evan and Nayte as they embarked on this business venture together back in 2018. Coming from a business background in healthcare himself, Kevin shared unique insight and support as KenMed was lifted off the ground. We are truly grateful and humbled to have had his love and support. Kevin passed in 2021, we are honored to carry hisname as part of KenMed Surgical. We love you Kev.
Evan Trombitas (the E in KenMed) is the President of Equipment Sales and Acquisition. He has been in surgical device sales for 15 years. Starting in college, he worked for a small local Orlando business representing Philips Healthcare products selling patient monitoring, EKG’s, defibrillators as well as a variety of other refurbished surgical products. Working with a diverse portfolio of surgical devices allowed Evan to become familiar with equipment used in many different surgical specialties. This knowledge has positioned KenMed Surgical to assist clients with whole ASC build outs, provide specialty surgical equipment, and assist in equipment planning for future facility growth. Evan’s favorite part about his job is being face to face with surgical staff and administration, meeting with the “boots on the ground” of the surgical sites and helping make their lives easier.
Nayte Carrick (the N in KenMed) is a serial entrepreneur at heart. He has a masters degree in Lean Process Management and has started and owned successful companies from clothing to software throughout his career. Nayte is our CEO at KenMed Surgical, he is the master of spreadsheets and visionary that propels and grows the business. Since inception, KenMed has added an entire biomed division serving more than 50 facilities, completed a dozen plus ASC full and partial buildouts, and moved entire ASC's of equipment across the country at his direction.
